As a retired Nuclear Submarine Officer and Project Management Professional, he conveys a plethora of experience in ocean operations and engineering. His degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering Management bring his passion for the ocean to bear in an inventive and effective manner. He is focused on bringing high value production to your team and operation.
Brian Amaral
Cofounder & Chief Operating Officer
With advanced degrees in Ocean Engineering, Oceanography and Business, Brian delivers a passionate and imaginative method to every project. His 17+ years of military service has refined his visionary approach to investigating and alleviating the damaging events that affect the ocean. Brian efficiently bridges the gap between scientific research and in-field (or at-sea) implementation.
Chris Reeves
Project Manager
With degrees in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Science Writing, Chris integrates two decades of experience in marine science education, field work, and as a professional mariner, with effective management skills to coordinate operations within a complex dynamic team.
Katie Burrows
Student Intern Rise Up (ONR funded)
While pursuing her doctorates in Ocean Engineering, Katie brings her background in electrical engineering and distributed sensing as an intern, assisting with technology development, field work, and ocean applications.
